Christmas – A Time For Giving

Updated: Jan 9, 2020

On December 2nd we will be visited by Family Business United as they complete their Newton Abbot leg of the Family Business Santa Dash.

For the third year running they are travelling from Plymouth to London, stopping at family businesses along the way to collect donations for Centrepoint, who are the UK’s leading youth homelessness charity. They provide amazing support, including access to specialist health, learning and housing services, and safe and secure accommodation for those in need.

They will be collecting warm clothing to distribute on The Strand in London. They will also be collecting DVD’s and CD’s to be sold, of which the proceeds will go to the charity.

“Christmas in particular is a real ‘family time’ and hopefully with unwanted DVD’s and CD’s in homes around the UK, we can convert the items donated into funds to make a real difference to lives of young homeless people from all over the UK this Christmas and beyond.  As an organisation that champions family firms which would not be what they are without the families behind them, the plight of the homeless is a great fit to share some warmth and compassion at Christmas.”

They will be stopping by on the 2nd December to collect any donations. If any of our customers, suppliers and friends would like to contribute, please send donations to Hanbury-Autogil, Bradley Lane, TQ12 1LZ before Friday 29th November.
